camellia (shrub)

I have a small camellia in a pot its only about 5 inches tall. the plant was doing ok until last month. It has started to develope brown edges on the leafs. It almost looks like it was burnt. The plant has been out side but is also kept inside as well. How can i stop this and help the plant

It seems like your camellia may have suffered from frost damage.�@If you have changed the position from indoors and outdoors regularlythe plant will lose its hardiness and struggle to survive. The other problem could be that the compost to the camellia has been allowed to dry out. I suggest that you put the pot outside in the shade in a sheltered position and keep watered. If there is frost likely to happen over the next few weeks then a covering of horticultural fleece will not do any harm overnight.

Once the camellia is growing strong you shouldn't have many problems. Hope that this cures your camellia
