Hi Everyone.
When I opened my cold frame this morning. There on the soil was our little demond a
snail.
When I came to remove it there was slight resistance
underneath it were a little clutch of eggs.
I have never felt sorry before when I destroyed them
including parent.
Now when I go hunting for snails I will think why do they have to be so destructive then they could be
left alone.

Hi Eagle,

Snails are not all bad as they make a tasty meal for thrushes.
I have filmed snails and slugs eggs and they are beautiful. As you say it is a shame that the adults do so much damage to our plants.
It is the slugs that do most of the damage.
Nature does help keep to the balace as may preditors like beetles and other snails and slugs will eat the eggs if they find them.
