Are any members intending visiting Gardeners World Live at the NEC in June? I went for the 1st time last year and had a great (but exhausting!) day.
The highlights for me were the free seminars (book early to get a place), the range of plants on show, the formal displays and observing the diverse range of "essential" products being marketed for the gardener (how have I lived without all those expensive gadgets for so long!?)
The lows were the crowds (inevitable for such an event I guess), the cost of parking (going on the train this year) and the cost of and queues for the food outlets (Take a picnic!)
Has anyone else been and what did you think?
For a smaller and more homely sort of garden show with real "feel good factor" and impressive allotment produce displays I would recommend the one held at Kings Heath Park, also in Birmingham, later in the summer, again very popular so get there early or prebook your tickets!
