Last year I brought a cutting off a flowering tree/bush
back from Turkey. It has rooted OK and flowered.
I am trying to identify it since I would like to know
if, where and when I can grow it outdoors.
It could be from the nightshade family but only
has three petals on the mauve flowers.
Any ideas?

It's OK.
In case anyone is interested I've managed to
identify it as a Bougainvillea (a native of Brazil).
It turns out that the 'flowers' aren't actual flowers
but 'modified leaves'. The flowers, if they appear,
will be small and white.
Thanks for reading,
