Could it be Datura stramonium again? The flower and leaf shape look about right, though your specimen is pretty tall, Riffler.

Do a web image search on Datura stramonium and see if it looks familiar.

This may be of interest: http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23370811-details/The+deadly+witch+doctor's+plant+sweeping+Britain/article.do - it seems that bird seed sellers have started adding it to their mixes.

My query got the same answer (see about 10 queries lower - Uninvited - 30" tall 2" conker like fruit??? )
See if the photos of my plant look similar.

Thanks all.
I have an answer now (from another board).
It's Nicandra physalodes.

I should have known that, have it growing here but yours has a different growth habit to my plants, Riffler. Here, it isn't upright but more spreading.

N. physaloides is also known as the 'shoo-fly' plant as it's meant to keep white fly out of the greenhouse. I haven't used it for that, just as a convenient filler. It self seeds a bit, but it's okay.

Thanks Miranda.
ah, Shoofly. Heard of this, of course, but never grown it.
It's in my father's garden. I'll get him to save some seed and try a few with his toms in the g/house next year.
Cheers!
