I have never seen anything like this. Can somone help identify it for me
This plant arrived in our field uninvited. It rooted in some soil that had recently been turned by a bulldozer & which was under overhead cables, suggesting it came from bird droppings.
It's 30 inches tall with large pointy leaves about 11" long.
The flowers are pale blue 2" tubes which splay out at the end.
The Fruit are like horse chestnut or conker fruit. However inside are hundreds of small heart shaped seeds about 3mm.
Thanks

Thanks Miranda. A really facinating article. Do many plants have such a colourfull history. Makes me wonder who might have been growing it!!!! Always wondered where flower power came from.
