Hi Eddy, the link to the photo needs to be on a website rather than your computer.

There are lots of sites offering free space for your pics. Try Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/) or Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com). There are full instructions on the sites, but shout if you get stuck.

Hi Eddie,

Go to Flickr and go to the page where your photo is stored and click on it so just that one shows. Then copy the address from the bar at the top of the browser and paste it into the message. There are some instructions on how to format your posts on the FAQ page.

Hm, for some reason, I couldn't get my image to show, but the address is here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/86793238@N00/83371808/. It isn't gardening related, but is from the Haxey Hood celebration last January.

Apologies, Eddie, I gave you the wrong instructions. This site doesn't work like others I've posted on and the display of images is done differently. You don't need the photo to be on another site at all - my mistake.

To get your pic on the post, click 'reply' - 'advanced', then on the little paperclip amongst the formatting tools. A window will open which will allow you to upload a file from your computer. The image must be no more than 100k and no larger than 500x500 pixels.

When you've browsed to the image you want, click the 'upload' button and the file name will appear in the same window under the title 'current attachments'.

In your message, click on the down arrow next to the paperclip and it will show which of your files are stored on the site. Select the one you want and it will appear, as text, in your message. When you go to post your message, the image should be there.

Hope this helps!
