If anyone is bored and having a bit of spare time on your hands before all the seed sowing gets underway why not have a go making use of those freebie newspapers that get shoved through your door and make some pots to sow your seeds http://www.geocities.com/newspaperpots/

I've found if you use half a sheet of paper you get a 2 inch pot and if you use a whole sheet you get a 3 inch pot.

Once the plants have grown on the whole lot can be planted straight into larger pots or the garden without disturbing the plant roots.

Yes, you've guessed it, I'm bored and am making some to sow some sweet peas in tomorrow.

Thanks for telling us about this Sue.
It's great. A good use of waste paper - recyclable biodegradable, and saves on using plastic pots - And they are free.

I'll be giving this a go for sure.

I also make paper pots but use a different method to that one. Started doing it when I ran out of small pots one day and found it works really well.

Well after having good instructions from Sue1002, I have managed to master the art of making paper pots i have made loads this afternoon, some small half page ones for peas and some bigger ones full page for runner beans and broad beans.
