Propagating Poppy

I've had a go at propagating a poppy.
I've gently pulled off the the side plants keeping as much stalk as I could.
Some plants I've put straight back in the ground and some I've put in pots
The main plant with the largest tap root mass and two remaining leafy shoots I've planted back where it was.
I'll keep you all informed but if any of you know anything I should try please let us know.

I went to a talk last year about propagating campanula,The method was to dig up the plant and snap the roots into several pieces and then re plant them, it was alledged that it would work on poppies. Alas i tried it but it didn't yield any new plants and it significantly weakened the parent plant.
