It is important to back up your data.
To do this search for a file called CGPara.sol
Then back up as required.

We have learned that a cleanup disk recommended by the Daily Telegraph deletes the CGPara.sol file.

We don't know why it does this but it could be very frustrating to loose all your plant lists and notes.

We were told about this by one of our customers. We are very grateful for this appreciate any useful feed back from customers.

I have copied his comments below
Neil

Further to our telephone conversation yesterday.

I added a few plants to ?My Plants List? and they were stored OK, I then
tried running my disk cleaner and they were deleted. Then I added the plants
again, they were stored, so as a comparison test I ran Microsoft disk clean
and that worked and left the plant list intact.

For your information the cleaner that I had been using is www.ccleaner.com
this is a free download which is highly recommended by the Daily Telegraph,
I have been using it for about two years and this is the first problem I
have encountered. My operating system is Windows XP SP2 Home Edition.

It seems for me to be able to continue to use your programme to its full
potential I will have to revert back to using the Microsoft cleaner.

Teresa,
It appears that some clean-up disks delete the CGPara.sol file.
It is a good idea to make a backup of this file for safe keeping.
We do not know why some computers are cusing this problem and why it does not affect others.
If anyone else has this problem, can you email neil@complete-gardens.co.uk and let me know if you're using a MAC or PC, do you use a clean up disk, virus checkers etc.
Although most people don't have any problems we want to see if we can identify why some data is lost whilst others are not.
I can understand that it is very frustrating when all your notes and plant list disappear.
One important point to make is notes are not added to the CD, so notes you write and plant lists you make will remain with that computer. They will not be transfered to another computer.
Best wishes

This will reduce the CD size on screen ansd allow you to use other programs and internet etc

Press Ctrl F again and the CD goes back to full size.
