A customer has come up with a cunnng way of making multiple plant lists for the Complete Gardens CD-ROM. She writes:-
While investigating I have devised a way to get several gardens recorded as we discussed. I rename the file to the garden it relates to and copy it to another directory. When I want to access it again I copy it back and rename it back to CGPara before loading your software. You may find this a useful tip for other users.

Although the Complete gardens CD-ROM was initially designed for home use, there are quite a few students & designers who find it useful too.
The plants lists and notes are saved on the computer hard drive in a file called CGPara.sol
However the Designers want to make plants lists for their clients and the CD lets the user add plants to "Plants I Have" and "Plants I Want"
You can't for example add plants to client Mrs Jones or Mr Smith.
What the lady has discovered is a way of recording multiple plant lists by saving the CGPara.sol files as Mrs Jones or Mrs Smith - changing it back to CGPara.sol depending on the Client plant lists she wants to work with.

This way of making multiple plant lists is too long winded for most of us but an option for those who want to try.
I'm still trying to get my programmer to make a multiple plant list version.

Right i now understand, because the store file is not immediately apparent without placing the cd in to the computer i thought somehow the list of my garden plants was on the cd, i can see how useful multiple files will be to someone who is compiling customers plant lists but i don't think i will need to do that, that said it's only a few weeks away until our horticultural club begins the monthly lectures and i shall be givving a brief talk to the members about the cd rom and how useful it has been then i will distribute the flyers and collate a group order. I will now point out that multiple lists can be made, In all honsty neil i have found the software really easy to use and once the plant list is in (which i have added a good amount of my new clematis into this season) it is really straightforward to get the information from about pruning eeding at the right time etc..
