I think this is what two of my dogwoods (Cornus sanguinea ‘Midwinter Fire’) have got - there are dark spots on the lower leaves, which start at the bottom the plant and work upwards. I've read that it is brought on by wet weather, and noticed it last year, but this year is much worse.
What to do? Should I dig them out and replace them or can they recover? Does anyone have experience with this problem?
Will post a photo shortly.
