Primula vialli

I wonder if anyone can advise as to what should be done with old flowers of primula vialli. I have recently spotted some new flowers appearing on my plants and so cut off the old flower heads and stems. I'm now wondering if this was a mistake. Any ideas?

I'd have thought that cutting off the old flower heads would give the plant more energy to produce new flowers, Maire, so reckon you've done the right thing. Unless you wanted to collect seed, of course ;)
