We are in the process of producing a specialist British CD-ROM on Wildflowers to attract moths and butterflies.
We are looking for quality photographs to accompany the CD.
We are looking for good portraits of both larva and Adult, food and nectar plants for both larva and adult.
If you think that you have such photographs, please contact
neil@complete-gardens.co.uk
Thank you

Not forgetting to leave the end of your growing area with nettles and once you've had your broccoli or other brassicas then leave the leaves for the butterflies!
This is exactly what's happening at the end of mine although I have to hold my arms in so as not to get stung by the nettles.
Richard.

Hi Richard,
It's great that you're leaving an area in your garden for nettles. They are a very valuable food-plant.
The nettles need to be cat back to encourage healthy new growth.
Cut can in early and mid summer. Don't cur back if there are caterpillars already feeding though

And wear long trousers, not shorts!
Besides, not cutting nettles saves having to do more work and just eight feet away are a few bee hives so another reason not to loiter!
Richard.
